This year we celebrated Gayle, Lee & Tony's birthdays on Easter.  

This was the first time the cousins got together to dye eggs.  

Kids had a nice time playing outside in Grandma Machi's backyard.

Then, the Mad Dash for the egg hunt.  

For me, it was fun to hide the eggs.

 We watched the crazed kids come out ready to snatch up those eggs.

Then, we ate a feast and a half.

Saori made a stunning cake for the 43, 44 and 45 yr old Aries' in our family.

Can't believe how big the kids are getting.

Even more unbelievable is how old we adults are!

Remember Easter?

This afternoon on our way to swim class, Maiya said, "Mama, remember Easter?" I actually didn't. But I remembered that I had some pictures from Easter that I just saw recently in our unblogged photo collection. Now that we have a new computer, I just downloaded over 2,000 photos from our little photo card, and have been categorizing them.

Other fun things we're doing with Photo Booth on our new computer. And don't even get me started on the apps on our iTouch. I wrote a Haiku on it this afternoon watching Maiya's swim class. Lily wants to give me 1,200 games. I got enough games. Between FB, Bejeweled Blitz and YoVille, and playing on the new computer, I am barely getting any sleep. And to prove how bad it is, I was telling a story to Tony & Maiya at dinner the other night, how I greenly used the same boiling pot of water 3 times, to boil edamame, broccoli & pasta, Tony said, "You should blog about it." Then 4 year old Maiya said, "You should Facebook it!" So of course I had to do both. On another note, I donated blood today for the first time, so at least I'm doing something useful with my time.

On Saturday, we went to The Lobster for Uncle Bill's bday lunch at the Santa Monica Pier. Afterwards, I went to get my haircut, bought some new shoes and clothes for my upcoming trip to Kentucky. It will be my first time away from Maiya overnight--first time in her life I'll be gone for longer than 17 hours.

On Sunday morning, I cleaned the backyard, then Maiya & I went to the Farmer's Market while Daddy stayed home moving around furniture. Yes, again. When we got back, Auntie Keiko was over, so we went to lunch with her. Maiya & I played pretend preschool for several hours. I was appointed to be the teacher and she was the student. Daddy made Tuna Noodle Casserole using his Grandma Chie's recipe for dinner. After dinner, we hid Easter eggs in the backyard until it got dark. Then, all too quickly, the weekend was over.

Egg-citing Fun!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have a ton of cute photos piling up. I've been sick, phlegmy and bronchial the last few weeks since the marathon and am having continual back/leg/glut pain. Anyways, on my day off today, I went to see my chiropractor/healer/friend for some accupuncture, and then we had fun making colored eggs.

We did it the old fashioned way, with vinegar, food coloring and a crayon. We made eggs that said "PEACE" and "HAPA EGG" (1/2 pink, 1/2 green), and a bunch with our names and drawings on them. Even more fun was crack n' peeling them for our after nap snack. And now, it's photo sharing time.
